Imran Anwar

Imran Anwar is a Las Vegas native and partner at RMCM. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1999 and a J.D. from California Western School of Law in 2002, including study abroad at the College of Law of England and Wales in London. In law school he interned with the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Division, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit.

After graduation, the Nevada Attorney General appointed him Deputy Attorney General in the Litigation Division. He represented state boards, agencies, and employees—including judges, Capitol Police, Highway Patrol, the Department of Corrections, the Board of Pharmacy, and the Division of Child and Family Services—in civil litigation, much of it involving civil rights and constitutional claims in federal court.

Anwar joined RMCM in 2004 and became a partner in 2015. He focuses on insurance defense in personal injury and complex, high-profile civil cases, from court-annexed arbitration through trial, and has tried nearly a dozen jury cases in District Court.

He is admitted to the State Bar of Nevada (2002), the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada (2003), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (2003). Super Lawyers named him a Rising Star in 2015 and a Top Rated Personal Injury Attorney in Las Vegas in 2016.

Since 2014 he has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, including Contemporary Business Law, ethics and legal topics in business, constitutional law, American National Government, state political processes, and Ethics and Social Responsibility. He has also served as a mock trial judge for high school and student trial advocacy competitions.

With his wife, Stephanie, he helped found Inspirada FC in 2016 and later helped bring Albion SC to Las Vegas. He sits on the Inspirada FC board. He also enjoys squash, travel, and golf.
