Shane Jasmine Young, Esq. is the founder of Young Law Group in Las Vegas, where she focuses on legal, life, and legacy planning for families and business owners. She describes the work this way: “As a counselor, I’m a coach—an expert trusted advisor directing from the sidelines. As an attorney, I’m in the game calling plays on the field.” Her practice covers business law and family and estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship, planning for children and pets, special-needs planning, and business succession. The aim is to keep clients out of court and out of conflict, with plans that work when they are needed.

A Las Vegas native, Young was valedictorian of Green Valley High School in 1997. In April 2000, five months pregnant with identical twins, she graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University with a B.S. in business administration. She and her husband, Charles, returned home so she could attend the William S. Boyd School of Law part-time evening program. She graduated cum laude in 2004, ranking 33rd in her class, earned the Dean’s Award, served as Nevada Law Editor of the Nevada Law Journal, and externed for Judge Lloyd D. George. She received CALI awards in Lawyering Process III, Real Property, and Commercial Law. She was admitted to the Nevada bar in 2005 and later to the U.S. District Court for Nevada, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

While studying for the bar she joined Snell & Wilmer, where she had clerked as a student, and spent more than a decade in commercial litigation at national firms. During those years she had three more daughters. Inspired by trusts and estates and by a pro bono probate case, she left that path in 2015 to become general counsel for a financial-services firm that administered retirement accounts and trusts. In 2017 she and Charles founded Young Law Group so she could work directly with families and owners on plans that protect people as well as assets. The firm has since guided thousands of clients through estate, business, and personal planning.
